Saint Joan of Arc – Patroness of Courage and Healing
St. Joan of Arc is a powerful witness to courage and dignity in the midst of suffering. Though she endured profound injustice and violence, she remained steadfast in her identity as a daughter of God.
Her heroic virtue of courage makes her a fitting patron for Grief to Grace. Joan faced fear and trauma without allowing it to define her, remaining faithful to God’s voice even in the darkest moments.
She is also regarded as a patron of those who have suffered sexual assault, offering hope and intercession to those carrying deep wounds.
Through her example, we are reminded that Christ enters into our suffering and restores what has been broken—bringing true healing from grief to grace.
